Life’s a gamble

Life’s a gamble

Happy New Year 2011! It’s great that we all get to see a new year even as we cringe as the years add on to our ages, but oh well…such is life. It strikes me as no coincidence that during the festive season, there are so many competitions, raffles, pick-and-win’s, shop-and-grab’s, etc. Why is it that there is an influx of these competitions when the holiday season rolls around? At every supermarket there is a raffle of some sort. Shop for goods worth 1,000 and get a raffle ticket to win a Vitz or whatever… Continue reading →

Need a Life Makeover?

Need a Life Makeover?

The reason I write this post is because a cousin of mine called recently claiming he felt bored by everything. He felt eeuuuugrrrh! Blossom

Blossom

This blog, like so many other things in my life, has until now been yet another example of something I enjoy doing in a half -hearted, non committal sort of way; as if to prove I could have done it better if … Countless excuses to be less than what I really am. I am an attractive, extremely opinionated and some what loud, single mum of three…. Continue reading →

La-la-la Leopard

La-la-la Leopard

It’s been a while since my last post but don’t be mad. Once you find out what I’ve been up to you’ll wish you were there with me. Before I get to the business of making you green with envy, let me start by asking how’ve you been? I like hearing from you so definitely let a sista know what’s good with you. Ready to go green? Ok, I did something I never thought I’d do. Actually, that’s not entirely true; I’ve always wanted to do it but conditions just never seemed right. I’ve traveled… Continue reading →

Long holiday nightmare

Long holiday nightmare

Easter weekend is the longest holiday weekend of the year. It is four straight days of absolute freedom from work or school and whatever tight schedules you usually have to put up with. If you are like me and don’t mix work and play, it could also be the annual cause for a holiday budget just so you don’t have to spend it alone on the sofa with popcorn and at least eight DVDs of movies and TV series you haven’t seen. Four straight days of absolutely no plan is a nightmare. No Ifs Buts… Continue reading →
